What would be a good opening sentance for a Macbeth essay about how he is a tragic hero?

With essays like that, where you're linking something from a specific piece of literature to a general literary concept, I tend to start by defining the literary concept. So, explain what a tragic hero is, and state briefly whether you're inclined to agree that Macbeth is one, and then spend the essay backing up your argument.
