Will people stare at me and my fiance if i dress in a sari (i am mixed race and he is white)?

i am attending a friends wedding soon, she is asian and it will be a traditional asian wedding. I want to make an effort and dress in a sari. I am mixed race as my mothers malaysian and my dads english..i am very pale and dont look very asian..most ppl think im half spanish or italian. my fiance is white and a skin head, i am worried ppl will stare at us if i dress in a sari as i will prob look quite asian then as i have long black hair and dark brown eyes and a 'oriental' look about me some will say! should i worry?
