Do you think the bride's dad should help pay for the wedding?

I recently got engaged and my fiance and I are hoping to get married in about a year and a couple months. While my fiance said his family will pay for the wedding, I feel guilty and saddened by that. My dad and I haven't had the best relationship since he cheated on my mom and they got divorced. He has barely helped me out financially when I could have used the help the most- my college years. Right now I still have 1 more year of college and don't have money to help with the wedding costs. My mom has no money as well to help me out with my wedding. Considering my dad hasn't financially helped me out in the past couple years, he probably won't offer to help with some of the wedding costs. I don't want to ask him to help me either. I feel that if it is something he wants to do, then he will let me know. What do you guys think? (I also want to add in that I never ask my dad for financial support.)
