What is the difference between a Vodka like Smirnoff and a Vodka like SKOL?

I notice the price difference with Smirnoff being higher, but what is another difference? Is it the taste? Smirnoff says their Vodka is triple distilled, what does that mean? Best answer gets 10 pts!
