How to improve push up's?

I'm 15 and in a few weeks time a moderator is coming in to es my fitness for GCSE PE. Problem is i can only do about 2 push up's (pathetic I know :P) before my arms start to ache and have to stop. What are the best ways to improve my push up's? Any help would be really appreciated.
